Erick Lownsberry, MA, LPC, LPC-SC, works with young adults, women’s issues, men’s issues, and marriage and couples’ counseling. He uses a client-centered approach to therapy in addition to cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing techniques, and family/group counseling.  Erick is originally from California and is a retired US Army veteran. He relocated to Florence, SC, in 2010, where he worked and eventually became the Director of CHOICES Charter School from 2011 to 2014.

CHOICES Charter School was founded by former Chief of Police Ralph Porter and was dubbed the alternative to the alternative school for both Florence School District One and Darlington County Schools. Erick received his bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Occupational Education. He completed his master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. He has been with The Counseling Center of Florence, LLC since 2015. He currently provides counseling and supervision.
